IS GOD DOUBLE MINDED ABOUT HEALING?
When I talk to Christian people about God’s healing these are some of the responses I get.
(1) He heals some, but not others.
(2) My uncle Fred got saved at church camp at age 8, loved Jesus, married his high school sweetheart, had two kids that loved Jesus, was a deacon in his church and taught Sunday School for 30 years and he died of cancer at age 54, therefore God must not heal everyone.
(3) Why weren’t great men of God like Pastor John Osteen and Pastor Billy Jo Daugherty healed ?
(4) You mean people are trying to tell me my brother-in-law didn’t have enough faith to be healed ?
(5) If God wants to heal me he’ll just heal me.
(6) I know the word in Isaiah 53:5
says by his stripes you are healed, but God is sovereign and he may want to take someone home because a number of people will get saved at that person’s funeral. God knows best.
(7) My friends healing came when he went to heaven
(8) God put this sickness on Bill and He used this to take him to heaven at age 29.
(9) Sickness is a blessing
I have wrestled with all those comments and questions over the years and had to go back to believing the word of God with “child like faith”. At the whipping post on the way to the cross Jesus took 39 stripes on his back. While he was taking that brutal beating every sickness and disease was laid upon him. I regularly watch the scene with Jesus at the whipping post from Mel Gibson’s movie The Passion of Christ. This movie is rated “R” because of the violence. In watching an interview with Mel Gibson about the movie he stated he wanted the audience to experience, to some degree, what Jesus went thru. In reality, as great of a job as Mel did producing the movie, we the audience, only experience one trillionth of what Jesus went thru. The whipping post and the cross were savage and brutal. Just as all the sin of all mankind was laid on Jesus for us at the cross, all sickness and disease was laid upon Jesus at the whipping post. Just as forgiveness of sin was provided by Jesus at the cross for all mankind, wholeness of your body was provided at the whipping post for all mankind. Will all be saved and accept what was provided for them at the cross–NO, but it was provided for all. In the same way will all be healed and their bodies made whole–NO, but it was provided for all at the whipping post.
I have been healed of atrial fibrillation of my heart. This condition caused my heart to get out of rhythm. I was on lopressor, a medication that kept my heart in rhythm, but caused me allot of fatigue. I was constantly tired and lacked mental clarity. On 4/28/17 I went to my family doctor and he stated that this medication was no longer agreeing with my body and cut the dosage from 100 mg daily to 50 mg daily, then to 37.5 mg dally, then to 25 mg daily then to 12.5 mg daily. I am presently off of all medication and have absolutely no atrial fibrillation. My doctor a step at a time weaned me off of this heart medication. It occurred over a 9 month period because stopping the medication could have caused damage to my heart. I do not pray for God to heal me. On a daily basis I “receive” by faith, with the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart, the healing that Jesus “PROVIDED” at the whipping post. The complete healing for your body exists and has been provided in the spiritual realm. Its yours. You have to get it grounded and rooted in your spirit and become “FULLY PERSUADED” that it is “YOURS”
: “forget not my benefits He heals ALL your diseases.”
I Peter 2:24 “Who His own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we being dead to sins , should live unto righteousness, by who’s stripes ye were healed
This was to fill what was spoken thru the prophet Isaiah “He took our infirmities and bore our disease.
My response to the 9 questions/comments above is that good, Godly, well meaning Christians have made a doctrine out of their experience or what they have seen.
states My covenant I will not break, nor alter the word that comes out of my mouth.
Being fully persuaded and getting the word of God on healing grounded and rooted into your spirit is what begins to heal you. The word of God was spoken out of the heart of God and it overflows and exudes the life of God. We have to be consistent in addressing the word of God. If God can change his mind on the healing scriptures than He can change his mind on all scriptures and we have nothing to stand on. When someone is not saved we do not say that God changed his mind about salvation and only saves some. No– we say that even though salvation was provided for all– the person did not receive it. There are two parts or responsibilities to salvation– God’s part and our part. God made the provision 2000 years ago. We now have a choice to receive or reject what Jesus did at the cross. We never say that God only saves some. We put the responsibility on the human being, not God for not receiving salvation. Yet in the area of healing instead of saying that the person did on receive their healing by faith many say that God just heals some, but not others. We assume that God changed. If we do this, without realizing it, we are taking our experience/what we have seen and are putting it above the word of God.
If these people mentioned above were not healed it was because they did not receive by faith into their spirit what Jesus provided at the whipping post. If I am distracted by and receive the circumstances mentioned then I am putting these circumstances above the word of God. I become the type of soil that is talked about in Mark in the parable of the sower and the seed. We do not get the harvest of healing that God intended by allowing the word of God to get grounded and rooted into our spirits. We allow it to get choked out by allowing statements that are not based on scripture to take root and stop the word of God on healing from manifesting. The word of God on healing exudes, is full of, overflows with the life of God in the area of healing. Once a person is FULLY PERSUADED and gets the word of God grounded and rooted in their spirit the life of God from the healing scripture will begin to drive out sickness and disease in your body. In James it says a “double minded” man receives nothing. I you believe God might heal, but He might not heal then we are “double minded”
GOD IS NOT DOUBLE MINDED ABOUT HEALING
Healing was provided for everyone from Billy Graham to Adolf Hitler and every human being that ever lived. If a person is not healed it is not that the healing was not provided by Jesus at the whipping post. There are two parts or responsibilities to your healing–one part is God’s responsibility and one part is our responsibility. Jesus did his part 2000 years ago at the whipping post. Our part is to receive that provision by faith into your spirit and allow it to get grounded and rooted in our spirit. In other words we have to be “Fully Persuaded” that God provided us healing and let the word build a mental picture inside of us that we are healed. Good Christian people with good intent have made the 9 comments/questions above. Unfortunately they are trying to make a doctrine out of their experience. In other words a doctrine out of what they have seen.
The bible says in Psalms 134:8
Gods word is settled in heaven for eternity Psalms 119
:@ states that God honors His word above his name.
Without realizing it whose who made the comments above were putting what they saw–their experience above God’s word. If God only heals some then He is a respecter of persons and it states in Acts that God is no respecter of persons.
Below are some reasons why some don’t receive their healing.
(1) lack of knowledge concerning healing
(2) lack of unity in prayer for healing–we should have our church contending and pressing forward for healing
(3) Community unbelief–many in the church do not believe it is god’s will to heal
(4) Offense, bitterness & unforgivness
(5) Breaking natural laws
(6) sin in your life
(7) Lukewarmness in the church
8) Traditions of men
(9) lack of diligence
(10) Lack of faith–not believing and receiving the provision of healing that was provided 2000 years ago by Jesus at the whipping post.
JESUS IS THE CAPTAIN AND THE QUARTERBACK OF THE HEALING TEAM. FROM THE MINUTE WE ARE BORN JESUS IS THROWING US THE HEALING PASS. AS RECEIVERS IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO RECEIVE THAT HEALING PASS INTO OUR SPIRIT WHICH WILL ULTIMATELY CHANGE OUR BODY . IF WE ARE NOT HEALED IS IS NOT THAT JESUS DIDN’T PROVIDE HEALING FOR ALL AT THE WHIPPING POST 2000 YEARS AGO ITS BECAUSE WE HAVE NOT POSITIONED OURSELVES TO RECEIVE THAT HEALING
